Many local colleges and organizations offer scholarships to students who qualify or exhibit outstanding performance academically. Students may apply for some of these directly through their college of choice, but it is recommended that they submit a Scholarship Portfolio as well.

Completing the CHS Scholarship Portfolio and turning it in to Mrs. Dean by December 9th, 2011 allows seniors to be eligible for local community awards.
California State University, Fresno Scholarships
Each year, California State University, Fresno awards over a thousand scholarships totaling more than two million dollars to incoming and continuing students. The California State University, Fresno Scholarship web site provides a one-stop opportunity to apply for hundreds of institutional scholarships by submitting just one application.
California State University, Fresno’s 2012-2013 scholarship application period for institutional scholarships is October 1st, 2011 through February 29th, 2012. Students must apply during this time period to be considered for scholarships during the 2012-2013 academic year.
