California High School Exit Exam Information
In order to receive a high school diploma, all public school students (unless otherwise exempted under Education Code Section 60852.3 or on an IEP) must pass the California
High School Exit Exam. Links to the California Department of Education and more information on the CAHSEE are listed below.
Attention: New information regarding CAHSEE and students that have a current IEP.
If a student is currently on an IEP, California law does not require that they pass the CAHSEE in order to receive their diploma. Clovis High School is strongly recommending that students take the CAHSEE test because the law may change in the future. Passing the CAHSEE is a great sense of accomplishment, and students may be asked on a college or job application if they have passed the test.
